"FIRE THEM BEFORE THEY FIRE YOU!!!!! I wish I had taken this advice when I had the chance!! Gave State Farm my money for 8 years....cars, motorcycles, home....ALL OF IT. As soon as I have to file a claim because of the storms last year, THEY FIRED ME after only paying me $2000 for a new roof....which cost me an additional $8000. Now my insurance has TRIPLED. My new agent old me that if I had fired them first, my rate would be the same if not better. The claims dept. is an absolute NIGHTMARE to deal with, and they rip you off. FIRE THEM BEFORE THEY FIRE YOU!!! File your claim, get what measley little change they give you, then FIRE THEM. Trust me....they WILL fire you if you don't do it first."
